
The Racquet Centre is led by Head Professional Fabio Walker and a team comprising three Assistant Professionals, and the Receptionist. The Racquet Centre strives to raise the level of participation, appreciation and enjoyment of the game of tennis at RCC among people of all ages and abilities.

Fabio Walker, Head Tennis Professional Fabio was born and raised in North Vancouver. In the years 1984 to 1988 Fabio reached 7 National Championship finals winning 4 times with 3 singles titles and 1 doubles title. In 1986 through 1988, Fabio was the #1 ranked Junior in the country and represented Canada in many international tennis events including Jr. Wimbledon, the U.S. Open, and the French Open. He also won a Gold Medal for British Columbia in the 1989 Canada Games. In 1988, Fabio received a full tennis scholarship from Texas Tech University, a Division 1 school located in Lubbock, Texas where he played position #1 in singles and doubles. Fabio had the best win/loss record in the Southwest Conference in 1992 and his highest individual national NCAA ranking was #17 in singles and #6 in doubles. After graduating from Texas Tech University in 1993, Fabio decided on a career in coaching tennis. Fabio is a certified Level 1 Tennis Coach and has been the Head Tennis Professional at the Richmond Country Club since 1997.

Isaac Asuncion, Assistant Tennis Professional Isaac is a Tennis Canada Certified tennis professional. Isaac’s playing and coaching career started in Ontario where he competed as a ranked junior and began his career in coaching and managing in various facilities in the Toronto area. When Isaac moved out west, he worked at the Sportstown BC Sports Complex (formerly Western Indoor Tennis Club) from 1998 to 2002 and has been with us here at the RCC ever since. Isaac continues to compete in local tennis tournaments and events and is currently the captain of the RCC’s mens division A tennis team.

Kristine Ang, Assistant Tennis Professional Kristine is a Tennis Canada Certified tennis professional. Kristine’s love for tennis began at the age of 13 in Manila, Philippines. There she began to play countless hours of tennis, working hard at her on and off court skills. When her family moved to Canada, she became an immediate force in the local provincial junior tennis circuit. Kristine continues to compete in the Provincial Ladies Open Singles circuit and has a ranking of #21 in the province.
